On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, members of Twilight Rotary met for a social at Memento Mori!
Part museum, part library and Mezcal lounge, we had some great Ceviche, cocktails and Mezcal! The owner, Dion Altamirano (who is also an AP literature teacher at South High School), explained to us about the different kinds of Mezcal and the art on the walls, courtesy of local artist Alicia Onyx (of which one of their signature drinks is named after). We also had a great tasting of three separate Mezcal's: two Artisinal's and one Ancestrar, the latter of which is cultivated in the ways of the past with a smoky flavor that emanates from the earth itself.
