On December 4th, 2024, Rotary Twilight welcomed The American Red Cross, Kern County and Eastern Sierra Chapter!
Representing them were CEO Hector Vasquez, Chair Isabel C. Bravo-Perez, Vice Chair, Carolyn Forster and Cindy Huge!
The representatives talked about how they helped with emergencies and volunteered their time while changing the lives and having their own lives changed of those they meet.
They also talked about the structure of Red Cross.
The highlight of the night was Cindy Huge. She shared a story about someone who had lost everything in a fire as well as their family member earlier that year. She sat and listened to him as he went over his story and his experience. She said that after he was able to share his story, he felt better about his circumstances. She was very much affected by it and she said those stories are common when dealing with those who have experienced loss.
