On February 19th, 2025, Rotary Club of Bakersfield Twilight welcome Valery Diaz and Reyna Gutierrez from Memorial Hospital!
Valery is an MHA, RN, PHN, CV-BC and the Cardiology Program Manager at Dignity Health while Reyna is a Direct Patient Care Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse and Structural Heart Coordinator.
February is American Heart Month and they both talked about heart health and related info, like the symptoms of a heart attack (which is different for men and women).
They also spoke about plaque formation in the arteries and the various treatments for heart attacks.
