First, a shout-out to Jeremy, Ian, and Sam - the masterminds behind our latest FUN-raiser. And raise funds we did - $725! Thank you to all who participated.
We're having our first March club social on Wed. March 23 at Rusty's Pizza, 6675 Ming Avenue (at the corner of Ming and Ashe). We've reserved a private room because we have a very important topic to discuss - our main FUN-raiser on May 7. This event is an all-hands-on-deck one because it takes all of us to make it happen. Warning: even if you can't/don't attend the social on March 23, you will be assigned a role at our May 7 fundraiser. As I said, it takes all of us to make it happen.
Do you know that Bakersfield has its own marathon? Do you know that it goes right by my house? Do you want to be at my house on Sunday, March 27 at 7:30 am to cheer on the runners as they pass by? If so, let me know because I'll treat you to some food and beverages if you show up.
March has five Wednesdays, so that means we have two socials. Our second social on Wed. March 30 is at Rotary Park on Panorama Drive. Come learn how the East Bakersfield Rotary Club created this wonderful little gem on the bluffs while munching on some finger food and enjoying the sunset.
Rotary Yoga is back! Come get your Zen on in the beautiful sculpture garden at the Bakersfield Museum of Art on Saturday, April 2 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. This is a FUN-raiser too, so participants are asked to donate $20 each, $10 for students.
