On May 1st, 2024, President Anselmo Moreno welcomed speaker Joe Coughlin (of Coconut Joe's) back to Rotary Twilight (he was first here on November 16, 2011)!
Joe spoke at length about luck and the importance of how luck determines where you might end up in life. He made the analogy with a coin, which we all flipped (heads or tails) and those who flipped tails were the unlucky ones and had a different lot in life.
He told us that the idea that we should always try to persevere is not the reality for a lot of us and that our lots are different and that we should always try to do good where we can because he don't have it all the same.
We then inducted two new members, introduced by B-RAD, Jeremy and Tammy Mcmahon! Jeremy is a painter and Tammy is an educator. Welcome to the club guys, glad to have you here!!
They also make bread! :D
