The theme for the month of June began with Disaster Preparedness.  A few weeks ago, President Cecil Martin did an excellent presentation on how to be individually prepared.  He spoke from personal experience, retelling memories from the Northridge Earthquake where his family sat without power for days on end.  He stressed the importance of having a plan, preparing now for "IT".  On each table, there was a white block with "It" painted in black.  Are you prepared?  Do you have enough water and food for 72 hours, small bills, insurance papers?  At the end of presentation, he presented each member with a personalized CD and a brochure with resources to help each person become more prepared.

Thanks Cecil for giving us the tools to get organized and to become individually prepared.
