On Wednesday evening, June 26, 2019, our club met at The Mark Restaurant and Bar to get rid of (I mean demote) our Club President, Amy Smith. Her time has come. She must go. Some of our members took pleasure in making fun of President Amy's OCD and controlling behavior (she wore many hats and performed a lot of tasks throughout the year when she could have delegated). We even had Madonna make an appearance and perform for her. We learned many interesting facts about the year she was born. We saw cute baby pictures of her and some weird 80s hairdo that Ms. Amy and others had back in the 80s. We are not sure if she wanted those pictures to be shown. Since she used to ride horses, the club presented her with a horse and made her rid it up and down the restaurant. Since she says she wants to learn how to fly a plane, our own Past-Governor, Mr. Jim Bell, gave her a flying hat, goggles, pilot scarf, flying instructions book, pictures of airplane cockpits and a membership and pin for the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians, which Jim is a member of. We all had fun at President Amy's expense. It is time for her to go. President Nancy is up next.
