Housing Services Program Manager Ian Sharples
Ian Sharples is an experienced public affairs professional with a passion for affordable housing. Ian was the Executive Director of the Income Property Association of Kern, before joining CAPK, and the Founder of Hermit Communications, a housing-focused public affairs firm. His past projects include the California Landlords' Summit on Homelessness, the Bakersfield-Kern Regional Homeless Collaborative Point-In-Time Count, and media outreach for Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire. Prior to working on housing issues, Ian was involved with swing-seat political campaigns across California and Nevada. He is a graduate of Leadership Bakersfield and holds a degree in political science from Point Loma Nazarene University.
