On June 19th, 2024, Rotary Twilight welcomed City Manager Christian Clegg!
Christian spoke at length about the city budget and what his office is doing to manage finances in a way that would benefit all Bakersfield citizens, including addressing homelessness, creating jobs and improving public spaces. Glad to have Christian at the helm!
Oh and did we mention that one of our newest members, Jeremy McMahon is also an amazing baker?!?! He calls it a hobby, but he's far too humble. He made milk rolls, french bread and short bread cookies with homemade jam.
They were AMAZING! Thanks Jeremy! Also June is National Lemon month and President Amy Smith brought lemon Oreo's for everyone. We're starting to get spoiled here!
After Christian's presentation, President Amy Smith had her game of Blooket all ready to go with Jeremy coming out on top. Congrats Jeremy! He also won a great prize :D
