David Lyman, Manager of "Visit Bakersfield" did a phenomenal job of quizzing members and guests about interesting things to do in & around Bakersfield. There were even prizes and fun giveaways for everyone. Key messaging used includes "...on your way to...? So are we!" It was very impressive about all the hard effort made by David and his three-person team to bring visitors to Bakersfield.
We also heard from Glen Ephrom from the Golden Empire Gleaners about their programs and how grateful they are to partner with organizations like Twilight Rotary and our Birthday Bag Program.
Vince received his official Blue Badge and was also our Member Spotlight of the week - and we learned about a Famous Rotarian - Thomas Edison.
