District Governor Visit
Sep. 16, 2026 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Join us for a very special meeting as we welcome Rotary District 5240 Governor Margarida Eidson for her official annual visit!

Governor Margarida will be sharing inspiring updates from across our district, highlighting the collective impact Rotarians are making in our communities, and discussing our shared vision for the year ahead. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with district leadership, learn more about regional initiatives, and celebrate what we can accomplish together through Service Above Self.

About Governor Margarida Eidson:

A member of the Rotary Club of Ventura East since 2017, Margarida has a rich background of leadership within Rotary, having served as Club President, Youth Services Director, Assistant Governor, and District Chief of Staff prior to her selection as District Governor for 2026–2027. Outside of her extensive Rotary service, she is the president of Eidson Management, Inc. and manages the historic Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura, California. She lives in Camarillo and is the proud mother of four boys.

Make plans to join us for this engaging session and give Governor Margarida a warm welcome!

Spotlight on TODN's Workforce Development Program

Guest Speaker: Jamal Mussa, The Open Door Network (TODN)

Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2026

What’s it about?

Bakersfield’s strength relies heavily on community programs that empower individuals and strengthen our local workforce. Join us for an impactful session with Jamal Mussa as he presents on TODN’s workforce development program. He will share how job training, skill building, and career support transform lives, provide lasting economic benefits to Kern County, and open doors for Twilight Rotary to take action.

What we’ll explore:

  • TODN Workforce Development: The core structure of TODN’s career programs and how they equip participants with essential job skills.

  • Community & Economic Benefits: How empowering local workers drives long-term economic stability, reduces barriers, and strengthens our Bakersfield community.

  • Twilight Rotary Partnership: Actionable ways Twilight Rotarians can get involved, offer mentorship, and support TODN's workforce initiatives.

Come learn how investing in local workforce development helps our neighborhood families, job seekers, and entire community thrive!
