On March 14th, 2024, Rotary members from all six Bakersfield Clubs met at ROC CTEC (Career & Technical Education Center) for lunch, a presentation by Erik Bartsch, Aera President and CEO and for honoring the work of past club presidents in a project that started in 2019!

The food was prepared by CTEC students in the culinary program (it was very good!).
From their website:

"Both the Regional Occupational Center and The Career Technical Education center are an accredited public education career/technical training institutions. We offer a variety of programs to those interested in developing or improving job skills. All courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level employment. Classes at ROC CTEC are open to high school juniors, seniors, and adults.

Erik Bartsch talked about the importance of managing the future of sustainable energy with fossil fuels until our enery goals are achieved in 2045.

Our past club presidents from 2019 were honored to present a check to a very worthy cause!  Great job!
