On September 20th, 2023, Dustin Contreras joined us from the Kern Coalition Against Human Trafficking.

Dustin Contreras, a law enforcement professional with over 20 years at the Sheriff's office who is the co-director of the Kern Coalition Against Human Trafficking spoke to us about immigration and its connection to human trafficking. As Las Vegas is a major hub for human trafficking, Bakersfield is a hub as well but more importantly, it serves as a mid-point between three large trafficking hubs in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
He also informed us about what to watch out for and who to inform if we notice anything out of the ordinary. Thank you Dustin. This was very informative and brings to light many instances / scenarios we often don't think about that are going on unbeknownst to us.
