Twilighters enjoyed Bakersfield College's Renegade Room dining so much in November, that we decided to go again!  It was a tad smaller group, but just as festive as we dined on "Pacific Rim Cuisine."  Tasty offerings included Thai Beef & Mango Salad, Coconut Jasmine Rice (so good!), Hoisin Sesame Ribs and Teriyaki TriTip.  Guests were split on which was the better dessert: Pineapple Upside Down Cake or Thai Fried Banana with Honey & Sesame.  Thanks to all who attended!

 

President Amy was off cavorting at the "Happiest Place on Earth" (shockingly, NOT busy!) so President-Elect Nancy stepped in to practice running a Twilight Meeting and DID A FAB JOB!  Scarlett Sabin, Executive Director of the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House provided an update on their well-deserved (and long awaited) construction and expansion project.  The House originally opened in 2009 provides a place for families of pediatric patients or NICU patients to take a break from the hospital environment.

 

Li Gibbs was our Member Spotlight and Dr. Charles H. Mayo was our Famous Rotarian.  As always, thank you, Andrew Fishkin, for being our Club Photographer!!
