The mission of the Water Association of Kern County is to inform and educate the public and water community about water issues in Kern County.Formed in 1955, the Water Association of Kern County was originally designed to educate the citizens of Kern County about the need for the construction of the State Water Project (California Aqueduct). The organization’s goal was to keep the public well informed about activities and issues related to water and on the continuing need for a reliable water supply to Kern County. Over the years, the WAKC evolved to include outreach and activities that provided information about many water topics including: federal, state and local water projects; water quality; legislation and regulations; historical water agreements; water supply; endangered species;’ the Kern River; water banking; conservation; water development and many other water-related topics. The WAKC has frequently utilized radio and television to convey messages. Additionally, the WAKC publishes an online directory of local water districts, officials and other related organizations. Visit Who’s Who on the side menu to access the directory. |

The Dodger game ticket ordering has gone LIVE so now is the time to order your tickets if you want to attend.
IMPORTANT: Please read the entire email below. If you have ordering questions, please contact the person (Mike Murphy) listed.
As a result of your responses to our survey, we now have almost 400 club members and guests that want to attend the District 5240 Dodger/Giants game social on June 20, 2019. Here are some important details that you need to communicate with your club members:
Finally and most importantly, the district website will have up and on its home page starting on Wednesday April 24, 2019 starting at 9:00 a.m. a link where club members and their guests can start signing up for this event. The site is operated by club runner and only two can sign up at a time. Club members should pay for themselves and all of their guests so that we can trace the club members to their guests for banquet, game and bus ticket distributions later. Once again it is important that we are able to trace club members with their guests. So all club members should pay with their credit cards so we can do a proper accounting.
Registration Link: https://www.crsadmin.com
We are pleased, honored and excited about the level of enthusiasm the clubs and their members have shown for this event. It is the club members who have made it a great and successful event.
With best regards,
Mike Murphy
